Last night, for the first time in a long time, we had measurable precipitation in our area. Although it wasn’t a lot, it was most welcome.
As you might know, we are in the midst of a severe drought. The grasses are dry, the trees are suffering, and wildfires are raging.
But last night’s rain brings a glimmer of hope. Autumn will soon arrive, weather patterns will change, and (we hope) more rain will be coming to our parched land.
It’s good news for photographers as well. The sky will become more interesting as low sunlight dances between the clouds. Fall colors will fill the landscape. Our cameras will be ready.
